Guerrilla Reading

-->

Just invented guerrilla reading (a highly innovative way of reading texts as opposed to the outdated conservative approaches of academic close-reading). This is my way of throwing metaphorical Molotov cocktails.

Guerrilla readers -think different!

Guerrilla readers read everywhere: They are reading while driving a car, while talking to their grandmother, while having a shower or even while they are sleeping. Reading conventions don’t apply to guerrilla readers: They may read from rear to front, from right to left and from the bottom to the top of a page, with closed eyes, sometimes even reading languages they don’t understand, but don’t necessarily do so. The guerrilla reader envisions far more than the normal academic reader, the guerrilla reader is an open-minded cosmopolitan rebel!

Guerrilla readers blog, comment and critically evaluate written sources of all kinds in all corners of the world. A new generation of guerrilla readers just recently popped up in North Africa and the Middle East.

Guerrilla readers question the authority of the old academic elites and their unconvincing doctrinal truth claims of their academic texts.

Join the revolution -guerrilla reading -become part of it!
